Climate requirement
Teak easily grows in tropical regions hence required moist weather. Teak trees growing in proper sunlight produce high-quality wood. Hence, for better quality wood, always plant trees in warm and moist regions.
Temperature – This tree can easily tolerate high and low temperatures. It can easily survive between 38°C to 45°C and 12°C to 16°C.
Soil
Well-drained alluvial soil and loam soils are ideal for these trees. The soils having high calcium, phosphorus and organic matter are preferred for teak cultivation. Soil pH level should be between 6.5 to 7.5. Please avoid black cotton, sandy, rocky and clay soils.
