A list of important days in agriculture national and international is given in this post. A brief overview of some important subsidy schemes is also given here.

It is great to see that agriculture days are from the beginning of January 5th to the 29th of December end of the year.

Subsidy scheme in India

There is a good amount of subsidy on most schemes—seed, fertilizer, irrigation, power, agriculture equipment and agriculture infrastructure subsidy.

Seed subsidy 

For high-yielding seeds, this subsidy is run by the government. 

Fertilizer subsidy 

Low-cost chemical and no chemical distribution among fertilizer is done under this scheme. It is the difference between the price received from farmers and the price paid to fertilizer manufacturers the government pays the rest price. 

Irrigation subsidy 

The umbrella government provides lower-cost irrigation services to the farmers compared to the market.

Power subsidy 

The government provide farmers with electricity at a cheap rate. This electricity is primarily used for education purposes by the farmers.

Export subsidy 

This subsidy is provided by the government to farmers in order to come their farming business on a global scale. Farmers become capable of easily exporting their crops to the international market by using this subsidy. 

Agriculture equipment subsidy 

It is a subsidy provided by State Government and Central Government as well. By using this subsidy scheme farmers can get agriculture equipment at low cost and on rent as well.  Farmers usually apply for big machinery on rent by using agriculture equipment subsidies which they cannot purchase.

Agriculture equipment is provided to farmers under various schemes such as Submission on Agricultural Mechanization (SMAM), Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY), Mission of integrated development of Horticulture (MIDH), National Mission on Oil Seeds and Oil Palm (NMOOP).
