Tulsi Gowda is an environment conservator who is also honoured as Encyclopaedia of the forest. Tulsi Gowda is 72 years old lady and she belongs to the Hallaki indigenous tribe in Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka, India. According to Tulsi when she was 12 years old she gained a lot of knowledge about plants while walking alongside her mother. Now 60 years later environment lover Tulsi has planted more than 30,000 saplings and is consistently involved in environmental conservation.
