It was the 55th Earth Day celebrated all over the world. Earth Day celebration in school becomes important to aware students. School teacher Ashok Pal is playing an important role to educate students about the environment and plants.
I got an invitation from environment award winner Ashok teacher to cover the event and put the details on our website STN and yt channel trending nature. He is a teacher in the government school Rajkiy uch vidyalaya Bijoli, Roorkee, Uttarakhand. I also found some interesting people with ideas to protect the planet from pollution and plastics.
Earth day activities in school
Rajkiy inter school Bijoli a government school has taken initiative to celebrate earth day in school. Ashok Pal, assisted by Sudheer, has organised a decent Earth Day activity in school. They involved all the school students for a small plantation activity after that all the students were gathered at one place for awareness activity.
Teachers including Sudheer, Ashok and Huma were involved in this activity. They taught students about trees, plants and environmental importance. They encouraged students to use organic things, avoid plastics and celebrate earth day every year.
Some of the students were from a farmer family background. Some students said that their parents want to use organic fertilizer but don’t know how to prepare organic fertilizer and pesticides. Some other students revealed some exciting methods to prepare organic pesticides and fertilizers.
Ashok pal is connected with many environment and agriculture activities. He organizes these kinds of activities every year and celebrates earth day in schools every year.
At the end of the event he gave an Earth day pledge for students. All the students were told to repeat the pledge behind Ashok Pal. You can see the video of that pledge here on the STN website.

I pray I will save the environment. I will plant trees and plants and protect and manage them. I pray I will not use polythene in my life.
Students role in earth day celebration
Students were curiously listening to the speech. After that speech they went to different parts of the playground and planted some plants. Some of the students said that they had been planting plants for many years.
They excitedly said that they learned today about plants and environment and will plant more trees. They assured they will grow at least 1 tree and take care of it till its maturity.
Earth Day activities for kindergarten
Schools are keeping Earth Day activities for kindergarten simple so that all students can participate easily. In the activity first students plant plants by hand. It gives them a memory and wonderful experience.
Some handmade crafts using paper thermocol grass and leaves are used to prepare a project on earth day by students.
Kindergarten students can play some games like jumping, running, walking and drawing etc. These games are played with the help of activity teachers, drawing and games teachers. Teachers arrange rings, bean bags and a tree shape, environment drawing is drawn for playing games.
Art and craft teacher draws a wonderful earth day drawing including trees, environment and plants with the help of students.
Free plants distribution
On the eve of earth day 2025 Ashok pal said he is distributing plants free to people who want plants and are not able to buy. He is doing this kind of activity in different schools and colleges and distributing some free plants to people and farmers. If you are interested you can contact him for free plants.
